COLLEEN ASHTON-McKINNEY

With more than 40 years of professional experience as a performing artist, singer, dancer, actress comedian, Colleen is a Broadway and Off-Broadway veteran of multiple shows, additional credits include: National Tours, Las Vegas & Los Angeles shows, numerous leading roles in regional theaters, film & television, & commercials. Moving to Houston in 1999 with her husband, Tom, she quickly became an acting member of A.D. Players’ Theater Company & Touring Unit for 4 years, before teaming up with Tom to build their Houston Vocal Studio business in 2001.

Colleen is Co-Founder of “Rising Star Talent Development, Inc.", Vocal Studio Manager and a Performance & Acting Coach. Together with Tom, she teaches stage presence, animation, movement & gesture, music interpretation, & audition preparation.

A member of the performing unions: Actor’s Equity Assoc. (AEA), Screen Actor’s Guild (SAG), and the American Federation of Radio & Television Artists (AFTRA), Colleen continues to pursue her own acting career. She has served as a Cantor (Music Leader) and Gospel Dramatist at numerous Churches across the country, and as a Production Director.
